About my work
Hello my friend, thank you for taking an interest in my work. I've received a lot of comments throughout the years- both online and in real life, some kind and some rude- questioning why I draw so many nude figures. It's so important for me to emphasize that "naked" does not equal "sexual".
Some people are completely shocked and uncomfortable when I tell them I attend figure drawing classes, and interact with nude models on a weekly basis. These models are people, and some are my friends.. not taboo objects. They are kind enough to lend us their beauty in a safe environment, and art is born from it.
Sure, I draw tons of naked bodies, but none of them have sexual undertones intended. I want to portray vulnerability and softness. I make art for women, and anyone willing to see and appreciate the feminine body for what it can portray and the inherent beauty it holds.
